The Future Is Kind.

I wanted to create an animated loop that would invoke a feeling of peace and tranquility within the viewer since that’s what this project brought me during the most recent lockdown in MTL. Every evening I had something to do that would quiet my mind. I had a blast designing and modelling the robot and was genuinely surprised how quickly he came together. Even picked up a few new animation techniques along the way. I focused on simple forms and shapes for his look to pay homage to robots that inspired my tastes as a kid growing up. I’ve always been a fan of Studio Ghibli films and wanted to do my own take on a classic.
